The BET Awards has indeed been one of the greatest awarding events organized to celebrate African Americans who are in the entertainment industry every year. It is being broadcasted live on BET TV featuring numbers of great performances by artists and a lot of entertaining programs. With an average of 7 million viewers, the BET Awards remain the highest rated awards shows on cable television.
This event celebrates and acknowledges the achievement of individuals who are chosen by the voting academy which comprises of about 500 individuals from blogging, media and music industry. The winners are presented with the BET Award Trophy. This Trophy was first designed by Carlos Rodriquez and was later redesigned using plated steel and black crystal.
It is no longer news that celebrities in the entertainment industry and athletes will be brought together at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 24 to be honored.
This year’s BET Awards will be celebrating its 16th year and it is definitely going to be a fun-filled experience with amazing entertaining moments. This great event is being sponsored by BET Networks and AEG and will be presented live to everyone by Coca-Cola.
Celebrities are expected to step on the red carpet in style when the pre-show coverage is aired at 6.p.m ET on Bet.com and through the BET Now app that is made available to cable users.
The 16th BET Awards and the milestone anniversary will be hosted by Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross. Nicki Minaj, Laverne Cox, Ciara, SZA, Chris Brown, Rae Sremmurd, Nipsey Hussle and LL Cool J, Kamaiyah, Ella Mai and Wondagurl. Additionally, members of the Compton Sounders Drummers, Syncopated Ladies and World of Dance will join the lineup. NBA veteran Doug Christie; professional dunker Chris Staples and streetball star Larry “Bone Collector” Williams round off the all-star teams. Fat Joe and Big Boy join this year’s matchup as team coaches, alongside guest commentators Jemele Hill, Big Tigger, Gia Peppers and Christian Crosby among others are slated to be taking over the center stage during this big event.

This celebrity-filled event will go on for 3-days and will be concluded with the 2018 BET Awards on June 24 and it promised to show forth the best in the entertainment industry. The BET Fan Fest will entail interactive sessions and ticketed event which includes a Celebrity Basketball Game that will be coming up on June 22 and 23 respectively.

The BET Awards mostly comes up in the month of June of every year and this year won’t be different. The expected date of BET awards for this year is 22nd of June 2018. The event will be held at multiple venues in Los Angeles, CA starting from 22nd through to 25th of July, 2018.
The BET experience which will be held for 3-days will include BET Fan Fest, Celebrity Basketball, seminars, various social events and celebrity appearances. The Experience will have its BET Awards broadcasted live for viewers from Nokia Theatre L.A on June 24th, 2018.

The nomination process for BET Awards 2018
Since BET Awards started some years back, it makes use of a group of about 500 individuals called voting academy to nominate and vote for people that are best for each of the available categories. BET sends out ballots electronically to voters made up of media personnel, bloggers, and artists. These votes will be collated and narrowed to the top five nominees by a group of people called “Yangaroo”, after which it will be finally decided on by the voting academy to vote for the winner.

This year’s BET Awards event will be marking its 16th year of excellent performances and amazing success with extremely entertaining moments.
BET awards 2018 is undoubtedly going to be a huge event because a standard has been laid down for can’t miss experience. Drake is leading with 9 nominations featuring the Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Video of the Year and Best collaboration as well as fellow hip-hop artist future. Rihanna and Beyoncé are both running with 5 nominations, Beyoncé is nominated for top nods of the night including ‘Best Female R&B/Pop Artist,’ ‘Video of the Year,’ and ‘Best Collaboration’ for “Feeling Myself” with Nicki Minaj. Rihanna is also being nominated for awards including ‘Best Female R&B/Pop Artist,’ ‘Video of the Year,’ and ‘Best Collaboration,’ for “Work” featuring Drake. Other nominees include newcomer Bryson Tiller who is up for 4 awards including ‘Best Male R&B/Pop Artist.’ Chris Brown is nominated for the same number including ‘Best Male R&B/Pop Artist’ and ‘Video Director of the Year.’ Future can also walk away with four awards including ‘Best Male Hip-Hop Artist’ and the ‘Coca-Cola Viewers’ Choice Award.’

My wife and I are new to the Los Angeles area and we are very excited about the BET awards/BET experience 2018. We moved here a little over a month ago from the East Coast. Raleigh North Carolina is where my wife is from and I am from Baton Rouge Louisiana. We are both professionals and we wanted to experienced this in person other than watching it on television. FuboTV is also a great choice if you want to watch a lot of online TV Channels. Because they offer hundreds of channels and also not that expensive.
All of these services are only available in the USA. But what if you live outside of the United States? Yes, you can get these services from other countries as well. Twitch and Periscope is a good place for streaming free contents. But there is no official news about having a Live Stream session on these platforms.
